Creative Steel Fabrication

A steel fabrication company in the Philippines like TKL could really have a tough task if not for those tough tools used by their creative steel fabricators. Using their set of heavy-duty tools, they were able to transform finite shaped steels into useful creations.

With these, steel fabricated products were continually being used as construction materials. Steel is used in making appliances and furniture, and automobile parts as well.

Window grills were made from steel and so with the huge gates from outside. But aside from being used as a strong foundation on building construction, steel fabricated products were commonly used as parts of appliances and furniture. Steel fabricated furniture has been complementing house’s interior designs for a long time.

As years passed by, materials made from steel have been very useful to the community. Steel furniture and materials have been used for a very long time in every household. It has been a part of a house’s functional designs.

Through cutting, bending and welding steel materials, craftsmen were able to make tables, cabinets, chairs, tools and other materials that are useful to the community. In addition, people were able to use these steel fabricated products for a long period of time because of the material’s strength and durability.

However, not only the new and raw steel materials have been transformed into things that will make people go “Wow!” There are Filipinos who fabricated scrap steel materials and made wonderful works of art.

With the reshaping skills of Filipino steel fabricators, scrap materials from automobile parts could be modified into awesome and unique “metal sculptures”.

For instance, a Filipino welder named Mario Mallari, Jr. from Manila has successfully turned scrap metals into unique pieces of sculpture. He had used old automotive parts and discarded metallic parts. Due to his creativity and persistence, he was able to make animal sculptures out of his metal scraps.

Another Filipino artist who’s been engaging in transforming metal into a wonderful work of art is Daniel dela Cruz. Based on the belief that steel could last forever, he had made his sculpture out of steel. Using multiple metal working techniques, it was simply amazing that he was able to make human figures out of tough steel materials.

“Bakal” (the Tagalog term for steel) for Pete Jimenez, is not just a simple material used in making tools or other appliances. It is his inspiration for making his collection. He also uses discarded mechanical parts for his artworks. And as a result, it is something no one could be discarded. You may visit his online gallery here.

So, still thinking of metal scraps as nothing but trash? Well, think of it once again. These Filipino artists have proved that steel could really last forever. It may be tough to manage and is not flexible enough to easily be bend, cut, or mold, but with the equivalent amount of perseverance and toughness (with the addition of creativity) of Filipino craftsmen, steel fabrication could really be turned into wonderful masterpieces.
